Privacy policy

Who we are

RITill is a point-of-sale (POS) app for shops, built by RareIntelligence (rareintelligence.ai). This policy explains what data the app processes, why, and how you can contact us.

Account and sign-in

• Admin: a Google account through Firebase Authentication. RITill receives the account name, email address, and Google user id. The Admin does not create a password.
• Employees: shop-scoped usernames and passwords managed by the shop Admin (not necessarily an email).
• We store the identifiers needed to sign you in and link you to a shop.

Shop, sales and catalog data

We process shop profile data (name, legal name, address, phone, country, currency, tax and delivery settings), items, stock, employees, customers (including the name and phone number you enter), suppliers (including name and phone), tickets and sales, and related operational records. Older cash-up records stay with the shop if they already exist. Supplier orders you save stay on the device until you mark them received. The shop Admin and authorized employees create and control this business data. RareIntelligence processes it to provide the service on Firebase infrastructure.

Camera, microphone and Bluetooth

• Camera: barcode scanning, an optional receipt logo, and photos you choose to send to the assistant.
• Microphone: only while you record a voice message for the assistant.
• Bluetooth / Nearby devices: the ESC/POS thermal printers you select.
• Notifications: if the Admin allows them, a Firebase Cloud Messaging token is stored so the shop can receive low-stock and expiry alerts.

We do not use the camera, microphone or Bluetooth for advertising or background tracking.

Receipt logos and photos

If you upload a receipt logo, the image is stored in Firebase Storage for your shop and may appear on PDF and shared receipts. You can clear the logo in Settings. Photos and voice recordings you send to the assistant are sent with that request so a draft can be produced. They are not kept as a separate photo library.

PLUS and in-app purchases

The optional PLUS subscription is sold through Google Play Billing. Purchase and entitlement status are handled by Google and reflected in your shop record. We do not receive your full payment card number.

RITill AI

The assistant is for the shop Admin, on Free and on PLUS, with a usage limit (daily on Free, monthly on PLUS). Chat text, voice recordings and photos you send go through our Firebase Cloud Function to Google Gemini, with limited shop and catalog context, to draft a reply. A draft does not post a sale, a purchase, stock or a supplier order until you confirm it in the app. Employees do not have the assistant. Do not put secrets or unnecessary personal data into chats. AI output can be wrong, so check it before you confirm.

Offline cache

The app keeps a local cache on the device (SQLite) of the catalog and related data, plus an outbox for syncing. This data stays on the device until it is cleared by uninstalling, signing out, or normal storage management.

Analytics and advertising

RITill does not include a third-party analytics SDK such as Firebase Analytics.

On the Free plan, the app shows banner ads from Google AdMob on Home, on office pages, and on the receipt. Ads are not shown in the till, on the payment screen, or on the camera. PLUS has no ads.

AdMob may use the Android advertising ID and related device data to deliver and measure those ads. RITill does not send the shop’s sales, customers, stock, or receipts to AdMob. Google’s policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

How we use data

We use shop data only to run RITill: sign-in, syncing the shop across devices, receipts, printing, PLUS entitlements, AI features you request, support, security, and legal compliance. We do not sell your shop data. On the Free plan, AdMob may use the advertising ID to show ads, as described in section 9.

Services we rely on

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions and Cloud Messaging), Google Gemini through our Cloud Function, and Google AdMob on the Free plan. Google Play processes the PLUS subscription. Firestore is in the EU (eur3). Cloud Functions run in europe-west1 (Belgium). Storage is in the United States (us-central1).

Retention, deletion and requests

Business and account data are kept while the shop account is active. The shop Admin can delete the account in Settings → Delete account. That removes the cloud shop, its staff logins and the Admin login. You can also email ritill.support@rareintelligence.ai from the Admin email (include the shop id if you know it). We verify ownership. Some records may be kept where the law requires it. If the shop has PLUS, cancel it in Google Play first, because Google keeps charging until you do. See Delete your account.

Security

Access is restricted by authentication and Firestore and Storage security rules. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

RITill is a business tool and is not directed at children. Do not use the app if you are under the age of majority where you live.

International processing

Data may be processed in the regions listed in section 11, which can be outside your country. Those places may have different data-protection laws.
